First things first, I’ve listened to a number of real play recordings and unedited this one is more fun to listen to than any of the others. Now I should probably add that I know the people playing somewhat so that makes it even more fun to listen to. Without editing or tweaking, the sound is great and everything is very clear, a testament to Stu’s recording abilities and equipment.
This is a great view of a master GM and a group of very talented role players playing a fabulous game and learning a new game system together and having a huge amount of fun. At the time of this writing I’m not entirely sure who all was playing. According to Stu the players are, Kimi, Stork, CADave, Rob and Merril.
Wonderful story line and absolutely fabulous characters in the hands of a playing group that clearly loves to play together and is clearly having a ton of fun. The characters are well formed and thought out with disadvantages that make them fun and very real.
I’m not going to go into how it played out I’ll let the reader listen and enjoy for themselves. Certainly there are some things that as a GM I might have done differently but that’s a matter of style not substance. Stu is a master GM and a master craftsman of fun games and really knows how to pull the players and characters in to the game.
One thing from a playing standpoint that really caught my attention was that a big fight ended and the very next words out of a players mouth were in character and in accent. Awesome.
If I was going to make a recommendation it would be just this, Stu take the time to edit it and post it someplace for people to listen to. It’ll be worth the effort.

PS. Don’t edit out the Ghost Radar interlude.
